Operating the NebuCare 2.0 Secure nebulizer Charging and operating time Standard inhalation for a child usually lasts from 10 to 20 minutes. After each nebulization, the cleaning mode should also be activated, which lasts 10 minutes. A fully charged nebulizer operates on battery for about 1 hour, allowing for: 2 inhalations of 20 minutes (each with cleaning), 2 inhalations of 15 minutes (each with cleaning), 3 inhalations of 10 minutes (each with cleaning). After this time, the device requires recharging, which takes about 1 hour. Steps for operating the nebulizer during nebulization Preparation: Remove, clean, and disinfect the medication container before use. Pouring medication: Open the container lid and pour the medication into it. Close the container lid. Install the medication container on the main part of the device. Install the mask. Starting To turn on the device, briefly press the ON/OFF button (about 1 second). After a moment, the indicator will light up green, and the nebulizer will start spraying the medication. Changing mode and turning off To switch the nebulizer to mode 2, briefly press the ON/OFF button (1 second). To turn off the device, hold the ON/OFF button until the green light goes out. Note Holding the ON/OFF button longer activates the cleaning mode – pulsating mist bursts with a pulsating green light. Cleaning and disinfecting the device The nebulizer should be cleaned and disinfected after each use, according to the instructions below. Inadequate cleaning may worsen the device's performance – dried or clotted medication hinders proper nebulization. Step-by-step instructions: Remove accessories (mask or mouthpiece) from the main part of the device. Open the medication container lid and remove its remnants. Pour 75% ethanol solution into the container, close the lid, and wait at least 10 minutes. For better disinfection effect, you can gently shake the container. Remove the disinfecting solution, then fill the container with clean, boiled, and cooled water. Activate the cleaning mode by pressing the ON/OFF button longer. After cleaning, remove the water from the container and leave it with the lid open to dry completely. Wipe the device's housing surface with a cloth soaked in 75% medical-grade alcohol, then air dry or wipe with a clean, soft cloth. Disinfection and cleaning of accessories: Remove accessories (mask or mouthpiece) from the main part of the device. Soak the accessories in a container with ethanol solution and cover the container. The ethanol solution concentration should be 75%, and the soaking time should be 10 minutes or longer. Remove the accessories and clean them with clean water. After cleaning, use new medical gauze to remove any remaining water, then dry well. After completing all the above steps, store the nebulizer, medication container, and accessories in a dry and clean place. The alcohol used for cleaning the head must be pure, uncontaminated alcohol (pure aqueous solution of ethyl alcohol) without additives: chlorhexidine, glycol, dyes, fragrances, essential oils, and other additives that may damage the nebulizer mesh. WARNING: Do not disinfect the medication container or accessories in boiling water, as this may distort the parts. Do not dry parts in the microwave. Parts disinfected using a disinfectant must be thoroughly cleaned, as residues of this agent may worsen health conditions. IMPORTANT: The saline solutions included in the set are the basis for nebulization. They are also a base for diluting medications. The type of medication used for nebulization depends on the doctor's indications. Remember not to use medications independently. Consult with a doctor or pharmacist before administering medication, as any medication used improperly poses a risk to your life or health.
